In 2006, €250,000 bought you one of 12 Motorsport factory built Z4 GT3 race cars ready to compete with spares and technical support aplenty. Powered by a heavily breathed on S54 putting out 430bhp, it was nothing short of a tamed monster.

Debuting at the Britcar 24 Hour at Silverstone the Z4 GT3 took the chequered flag, earning the Z4 Coupe platform a reputation for being capable of great things. The GT3 took further wins at the Nürburgring in 2009 and 2010 at the hands of Hans-Joachim Stuck and Claudia Hürtgen adding a further 11 trophies to the cabinet throughout the season.
The Z4 M Coupe shares the same chest thumping S54 3.2 litre engine found in the E46 M3 producing 343bhp at 7900rpm and 365N.m of torque at 4900rpm. Pure brutality, in brogues. The Z4 however weighs in at 75kg less than its M3 big brother, a weight saving that not only increases power to weight ratio, but stopping power as well courtesy of an M3 CSL brake kit.
An updated gearbox design sees the cog count increase to a six speed transmission with shorter ratios over the previous Z3 Coupe, with an equally short throw to match, making it a very enjoyable experience to rack up through the gears. While the Z4 can offer its services as a suitable grand tourer, with sufficient luggage space and refinement to sit comfortably at cruising speeds, this engine and gearbox is a pairing that really wants to get to the party and start having a good time.

A small victory to mention, not only is this Coupe blisteringly fast and exciting to chuck around the twisty bits, but it’s also ULEZ compliant!
Only 1052 E86 M Coupes were produced in RHD, with 584 making their way to the UK. This stunning example, presented in deep metallic Interlagos Blue has been with the same owner for the past 10 years, professionally stored and maintained by Hero Motor Company and driven 2-3 times a year when the client visits the UK.
A due diligence inspection was carried out by us prior to purchase on behalf of the client in Singapore. With the green light given, it was transported back to Hero Motor Company’s HQ in Sussex where it received full future proofing and preventative maintenance works.
With the integrity of the car preserved and routine service work completed for full turn key reliability, a final cosmetic upgrade was opted for to complete the car in the form of genuine M3 CSL alloy wheels.
Before handover to the new owner, the car will pass through our workshop for PDI, Inspection II service, Brake Fluid and Coolant Change, Clean and Treat Rear Brake Pipes, Attend to Small Area of Corrosion to Boot Floor near O/S/R Spring, Replace O/S/F BMW Wing Badge, Replace Wheel Badges, Replace all Tyres, final checks and new MOT.
Included in the sale is a very thorough document file, spare keys, all tools, original service wallet containing all manuals, handbooks and fully stamped service book.
Our Thoughts
A chest thumping, track developed sports coupe with continental refinement.
