Open Season | March 2026 Spring Event

Genesis 7:12.

I hate to come over all English and discuss the weather, but the last 6 months made the great flood look like an April shower. However, the clouds finally parted long enough for us to throw a little shin-dig.

I guess everyone had been waiting all winter for a few dry days to get the covers off their toys and head to a meet, because there was a lot of you! You had me worried at one point whether we were going to fit everyone in.

With the sun already high in the sky, the cars came thick and fast through the gates. From AMG Mercedes, to M5’s and Alpina B3’s, even a Lamborghini Gallardo and a very well restored Ford Capri.

The star of the show has to go to the little Microlino bubble car. There’s not many electric vehicles that we like, but the bubble car is certainly something we can get behind.

BMW were of course well represented with a great spread of different eras. Surprise turnout from this tastefully modified MX-5 and Yamaha sports bike to inject a bit of Japanese tin.

Some familiar faces made their way to us. Our good friends Zhe and Paul travelled down from London in their Japanese import E39 and Aston DB9. Some may remember Tom’s raspberry red Porsche 944, still looking the business!

We had a great time meeting you all and catching up with old friends, we’ll see you at the next one!
